Access your PC from anywhere

There are several services available that allow you to remotely access your computer from another machine in the world, as long as it is connected to the Internet. The good news is that Windows XP Professional is this functionality in the operating system. In this article I will show you how your Windows XP Professional computer to support remote access via the Remote Desktop feature.
To Remote Desktop, you need the following:
a host computer (which you want to access remotely), Na Microsoft Windows XP Professional and is connected to the Internet. A client computer (which is used when the network access to your PC), Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows NT 4, 0 or Microsoft Windows 95, with access to the Internet. Appropriate user accounts and permissions to the remote configuration of Windows XP Professional remote access. The IP address of your computer at home. You can find out by clicking on a page like www.whatismyip.com. The only problem with this is that the ISP in May this address dynamically change from time to time. I would recommend, with a free dynamic DNS providers, such as www.no-ip.com. This allows the assignment of a public DNS entry to your computer as yourcomputer.no-ip.com. They must TCP port 3389 open your firewall. If your computer is behind a firewall or NAT router need us traffic on TCP port 3389 on your host computer.
How configure Remote Desktop service on the host computer, go to the Control Panel and double-click the System icon. Click on the Remote tab, and click on the Allow users to connect to the remote computer. Administrators access by default, but there is an option to add other user accounts, if necessary. Click OK to your changes.
Connecting on your computer to the client PC, you need a client software called Remote Desktop Connection. Computer with Windows XP Home and Professional already have this client is installed. If you have a connection from a client PC that is running a different version of Windows, you need to install the Remote Desktop Connection software. You can download the software for free from the Microsoft Web site. The next step is to secure the Remote Desktop Connection software, you can connect to your computer. To do this, click " " Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, click Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection. From here you need only the IP address or DNS host name, and click on connect. Of course, there are impacts on the security, it should take into account when deciding on the opening of ports to firewall or NAT router and set your machine to the Internet.
